Family on Bicycle RickshawFamily on Bicycle RickshawFamily on bicycle rickshaw. Mandalay, Myanmar (Burma). I read for a while, but then felt guilty for not trying to do anything while in Mandalay. I decided to take a walk to the nearby Shwekyimyint Paya (Pagoda). It was peaceful inside, even though there were about 150 people praying together. I think it was a silent meditation. There were a number of nooks, crannies, and shrines to explore.

On a nearby street, I came across this typical scene. Bicycle rickshaws share the roads with cars, and definitely add to a sense of what life was like before the automobile became so prevalent.
