Bamboo BridgeBamboo BridgeA seasonally-built bamboo bridge across the Mekong River connects an island to Kampong Cham, Cambodia. We departed on schedule and arrived inKampong Cham shortly after 3. A tuk tuk driver offered to take me to the appropriate bus station to purchase a ticket for Kratie, then to the Mekong Hotel. The hotel is very large, with a lobby on each floor large enough to host a soccer game.

After checking in, I went to the nearby Destiny Cafe for an overpriced iced coffee. (It had been recommended by LP. After that if went for a walk along the roadside park overlooking the Mekong. Again, plenty of families out enjoying the holiday. I took a few pix by the area near the Bamboo Bridge to Koh Paen island.
