Fir Trees in MistFir Trees in MistFir trees with lichen (Old Man's Beard) in mist. North Cascades National Park, Washington. We set off in a mist to bushwack in a northerly direction traveling down a ridge to the Suiattle River. The bushwacking wasn’t too bad except for 1 section where we set up a rope. Crossing the Suiattle was a major project and took us 1.5 hours. This was followed by more bushwacking and we ended up setting up camp at the Chocolate Creek, about 1 mile short of our intended destination at Mile 39.8.

We had a great group dinner, with people contributing some really good dishes, especially considering that it was the last day of the ration.
