Believe it or not, this lighthouse is actually a Youth Hostel. Since I am a Lifetime Member of AYH, I thought it would be a great place to stay. I had no idea we would be photographically rewarded as well.

As we drove up, the light was looking like there might be some possibilities. We checked in and went for a brief walk around the grounds. By this time the light was getting really good, and I had a feeling that we might get something interesting between the horizon and the low bank of clouds if we were lucky. We drove out a distance from the lighthouse to get an overall perspective. I used the car to shelter my tripod from the wind. I waited probably 45 minutes or so, and was very happy with the results.
