Stupa and Clouds We arrived in Phnom Pehn shortly after noon, and in the short scramble off the boat and the short ride into town, I broke into quite a sweat. We got the last room at Narin’s, and then ordered lunch.

After a bit of a breather, we took a moto to the National Museum. It’s a very attractive building (no photos, please) with a nice courtyard. Mostly just old sculptures, and not that exciting. We walked over to the Silver Pagoda, which is adjacent to the Royal Palace complex. Very impressive--all Thai-style architecture. I shot a roll with my XA, since I left the other cameras at the hotel.

We walked back to try to find the massage place advertised at Narin’s, but missed it. We continued back to our place during rush hour. It’s a very busy city, “thriving” could be a good word if it weren’t so decrepit and grungy.
