We reach the river’s edge and cross by dugout canoe. And again. The mist is giving everything a mystical look. Two bicycles are being ferried across in a canoe; it would make a good photo, but my cameras are still in my pack and the polarizer is on. After we cross, I take it off and am set. Grab a shot.

Elephant in Mist2 Elephant Riders in Mist, Chitwan National Park, Nepal I take out my other camera and monopod, and have a short look around. Lots of people, as the locals are permitted to come into the park to harvest the elephant grass for 15 days a year. In the distance, elephants and drivers pass by along the road. One comes right by my tower--they are big animals. There are many birds around. I hear doves and several others. There was one with vivid turquoise in the marsh.
