Marble Fountain 1Marble Fountain 1Sonnenberg Gardens and Mansion. Canandaigua, New York. This was taken during a workshop that I often attend in the summer. In this case, all the participants carpooled to this museum and gardens, then had a couple of hours to wander and photograph. There were a lot of interesting things to see and shoot.

 

The fun stuff came afterwards, as I had a chance to apply some of the post-production techniques we had been learning. In this one, I bumped up the saturation and structure, or sharpness, then went and softened everything to make it look like the brush strokes of a painting. Or at least that’s what I tried to do.
