Private ParadisePrivate ParadiseBlue water, trees, and dock. Queen Charlotte Sound, New Zealand. We had to rush to catch the 8:00 am boat to the trailhead at Ship Cove. It was a nice trip through the Queen Charlotte Sound, a very pretty area. Sunshine for the first time in a while here.

At Ship Cove we did the side hike to a waterfall, then came back to the grassy area and stretched to loosen up. We soon started hiking uphill throughout the rain forest (which was dry today). We eventually got to the top, and we had views of Ship Cove and Resolution Bay. Very nice. Walking is certainly easier without a backpack. We are able to travel more quickly and enjoyably. They do make it very easy here.
