Red Incense SticksRed Incense SticksIncense sticks dry in sun, Binh Duc. Mekong River Delta, Vietnam. We walked around a small Moslem settlement, and got to watch some weaving. Also had a brief visit to a mosque before returning by boat to town.

Next came a short (10 minute) trip to Sam Mountain, which we drove up and walked down. We were able to see the Cambodian border from here.

A 45 minute drive to lunch, on a circular restaurant above a fish pond. A brief drive to a small village where incense is made by hand. It’s getting hot!

Another drive to a boat landing, this time en route to a heron sanctuary. The view from the observation tower took in a lot of birds in the treetops. It was a hot but pleasant (and photographically productive) walk back through the countryside. Very friendly people, especially the kids.
