From the Journals…More from Luang Prabang, Laos. February 12, 1999
Finally up at 7, and went to the Luang Prabang Bakery for breakfast. Chocolate croissant! Climbed up Phu Si for a view of the city, huffing and puffing on a full stomach. Broke a sweat. Walked part of the tour as described in my Lonely Planet guide book, including the market. I didn’t have much energy, but managed to walk up to Wat Xien Thong, then all the way back to the market area for a special rice batter fry, but it was closed.
