As I had hoped, the sun broke through the clouds on the horizon just before it set behind me. This provided a stronger and more directional light, which is just what I needed.
I photographed 6 or 7 frames across the skyline with the camera in a vertical position. In post production, I used Lightroom to merge the images into a panorama and then used Intensify Pro software to increase sharpening and contrast.
