Chedis at AyutthayaChedis at AyutthayaAncient palace chedis. Ayutthaya, Thailand. We had a good day at Ayutthaya. We started out with a Wat and then the Ancient Palace complex. They are nice ruins—old and partly covered with weeds, but not too much overgrown. There were enough walls, pillars, and chedis standing to give us a good feel for what it must have been like, unlike some ruins where there is only a tiny bit of the foundation remaining. Lots of trees for shade filled with singing birds gave it a very pleasant atmosphere.
