Seasons Collide. New Rochelle, New York, USA. November 12, 2013
I walked a couple of blocks down my street and entered the Twin Lakes Nature Study Reserve. There were interesting compositions all around, so I got to work. The snow on otherwise normal Fall scenes added that extra something. As one of my photographic heroes, Galen Rowell, pointed out, the edges, or transitions, are places to watch for interesting things to happen. Water and land, meadow and forest, storm and calm. Here the edge is between seasons and there was indeed plenty to see.
