Old WallWindow in doorframe arch with flower boxes, Campiello Barbaro. Venice, Italy.
This trip came up as a last-minute courier flight to Milano. I had my sights set on Venice, and I was able to spend 10 days there. It was the off-season, but there were still a good number of tourists. I had the luxury of time and was able to explore many nooks and crannies of the old city.
I was drawn to this doorway partly because of the color palette, and partly because of the story told by the various layers of bricks, plaster, paint, and water stains.
