From the Journals…Durham, England. May 6, 1985
I went for a walk along the banks of the River Wear. I probably would have taken more pix, but the light wasn’t too good. The cathedral was good for walking around in (and also it was free). I could help but wonder why all the time and money was put into building the cathedral rather than to feed the peasants—I’m sure there were some back then. What a waste.
