Prebends Footbridge ReflectionPrebends Footbridge ReflectionRiver Wear, Durham, England. Durham is a nice place, and I had an enjoyable time there. I was able to leave my pack at the tourist information office, so that was a big help.

I went for a walk along the banks of the River Wear. I probably would have taken more pix, but the light wasn’t too good. The cathedral was good for walking around in (and also it was free). I could help but wonder why all the time and money was put into building the cathedral rather than to feed the peasants—I’m sure there were some back then. What a waste.
