Upon arriving in Granada, one of my first objectives was to get an overview of the entire palace complex of La Alhambra. This is a large and beautiful area set in the foothills of the mountains.

I found a bus going up to the top of the hill on the opposite side of the valley. I was not the only person with this idea—there were many others gathered in the plaza enjoying the view. This was a great way to whet my appetite for my visits to the complex in the following days.
