Painted GongPainted GongDecorations on a gong, Kakku Pagoda. Kakku, Shan State, Myanmar. I was up just after 6. The hotel owner had found us a taxi driver. We had a quick breakfast across from the hotel, then headed for Kakku.

I had the impression that it was a large place, like a town. It is just a large temple complex. It is interesting and I think I got a few good pix.

At Myo Myo’s (my wife) insistence some workers let me climb on a stupa they were repairing. It’s a good angle from up there.
