Washing ProduceWashing ProduceTwo women wash produce in baskets in Perfume River. Hue, Vietnam.

Feeling very rushed on trip in general—trying to fit too much into a short trip.

Up at 6:20, then breakfast. Walked to bank. Bank moved. Cyclo to new bank location because we need money. Back to hotel at 7:55 to ask if we can stay until 4:00. Okay. Run to room, brush teeth and grab cameras. Get to Sinh office at 8:01 for 8:00 tour. Not a good way to start the day.

Very hot and humid and no breeze as I write this on the boat waiting for others to return from pagoda.

I know I’m part of the problem, but I don’t like the huge crowds of tourists. Busloads and boatloads being herded to the same places to see the “must see” sights. There is a lot going on outside these places—daily life can be interesting to observe.
