Riverbank SceneView of Sagaing from Ayerwaddy River, Myanmar (Burma).
Up slightly before my 5:15 alarm. I packed and had a cup of coffee. We were in the car and off by 6:13, not bad for a targeted 6:00 departure. We had a real vehicle, a Toyota minivan took us to the “pier”, which was a few boats tied up at the edge of the river.
It was a nice ride, and felt good to be on the Ayerwaddy again. It was chilly with the lower temperatures, shade, and wind. I dug out my fleece and put that under my Gore-Tex parka. I got some nice shots of Saigang soon after we departed. The rest of the journey was spent looking at the countryside and enjoying the fresh air.
