Morning Quiet - Boat in the morning mist. Ayeyarwady River, Myanmar (Burma).

I had a fitful sleep because I was so concerned about waking up on time. We did wake up before the alarm. It’s a good thing because the “4:30” wake up call came at 4:48.
There was a taxi waiting for us at 5:05. We got in and drove to the pier in darkness. I found a stall selling coffee and their version of a donut. We discovered that we could have boarded and taken our cabin last night, thus avoiding hotel fees and the early morning rush.

I got some great misty sunrise pix soon after our 6:07 launch. It’s a magical time on the river.
I had a short nap, then sat on the upper deck enjoying the sunshine and views. Stupas all along the hillsides.
