After lunch we walked around the fort wall in the heat until we decided it was time to get a taxi. We took it around to the northeast of the fort area, and explored many pagodas during the afternoon. How many pagodas are there in this town?

For sunset, we got a lift to the top of Mandalay Hill. It was peaceful up there, away from the noise of the city. Views of the plains in all directions. Tons of pagodas all around.
