Ancient Writings - Hieroglyphics on column, dual Temple of Sobek and Haroeris. Kom Ombo, Egypt.
I woke up at 5:40, moments before the sun rose. I fought the temptation to roll over and continue sleeping, and got up to take some pix of the feluccas. I hope it was worth the effort.
We had coffee, then arrived at Kom Ombo, where we took a walk to visit the ruins of the dual Temple of Sobek and Haroeris. I think I got some good pix.
Back on the boat, we had breakfast. We continued drifting with the current, as we had been doing since about 6:30. There is barely enough wind to fill the sail.
It was a quiet morning, hot except for the relief the boat’s canopy provided. I sat and watched for photo ops, of which there were several. Otherwise I took a nap and read. Lunch fit in somewhere along the way as well.
