Although my reservation to tour the palaces was for tomorrow, I took advantage of the good weather today and was able to explore the grounds of the Alhambra. It is a beautiful place with great views from its perch on the mountain ridge.

This is the Palace of Charles V. I thought the architecture was very interesting, but had to wait a long time until the area was clear of visitors. I played with this image in Nik Silver Effects Pro to bring out some of the detail and texture in the stonework of the building.
