The wind continued throughout the night, and there were clouds in the morning. I was told it is usually sunny and hot in the morning.

I went for a short walk along the Malecón, watching the waves crash over in a couple of places. Since my casa is exposed to the wind, it feels cooler, but as soon as I have buildings blocking the wind, I can feel the warmth. There is a market of sorts by the Malecón with a few people selling things from their trucks or a couple of booths. There are crowds around these vendors, who are selling tomatoes, onions, some kind of huge sausage, and other stuff I couldn't see because the lines were too deep. //

I met Dignatario (my new musician friend whom I had met last night) at 10 as planned, and we walked to his house. I was going to ask him if I could take his photo, but he beat me to it. He sat down on his couch, I opened the front door to get a bit more light, and it was perfect. It didn't take long at all to get shots I was happy with. He played and sang for a while, philosophized a bit, then played some more. After about an hour it dawned on me that I should get this on video as well, so I recorded a couple of songs. He is extremely talented.

He suggested we go for a walk around town. We kept bumping into his friends and he was introducing me to everybody. We ended up by the Malecón and he asked me to photograph him with the water in the background (he had carried his guitar with him). Of course I was happy to oblige. We walked to the Dorado Cafe and I invited him for lunch. What a morning it has been!
