Floating Karaweik Palace Restaurant at Night,Floating Karaweik Palace Restaurant at Night,Karaweik Palace Restaurant at night, with lights. Yangon, Myanmar. The late afternoon destination was the Shwedagon Paya, just to get some photos from the western side. We took another taxi to the east side of Kandawgyi Lake, with the idea being to get sunset silhouette shots of Shwedagon. We missed on 2 counts—we are at the wrong angle, and the clouds are blocking the sun.

Instead of photos, we stumbled on to the Karaweik Palace Restaurant, a huge dragon boat-like thing extending out onto the lake. We only went to look, but are now sitting here about to attack the buffet for just $5.00. Got to go with the flow!
