Shwedagon Entrance GateShwedagon Entrance GateGold and green temple rooftop, Shwedagon Paya (Pagoda). Yangon, Myanmar. Although the plan was to go to the Shwedagon Paya before breakfast while it was still cool, and although we woke up on time (I finally slept through 7 hours), this did not happen. A view from our rooftop told us that it was hazy, and the sun was being filtered through clouds.

We had breakfast first, and then took a taxi to Shwedagon. It’s a large and interesting place. Despite all the people milling around, it is peaceful. Very colorful as well. Like the city, it was full of people of all races who seem to get along. I took some photos.
